Ms. Sharon Sandor is the founder, owner and artistic director of Sol Dance Academy. Sharon began her career at the age of 14. She was the youngest member of The Young Americans, danced for The Cotton Club in Hollywood, Park West Theater in Chicago and was in 42nd Street at Long Beach Civic Light Opera House. Ms. Sandor had the honor of sharing the stage with legends such as Cab Calloway, Skip Cunningham, Reynaldo Ray, Maxine Weldon, Linda Hopkins and more. Sharon is a choreographer and active performer for Central Avenue Dance Ensemble, LA Swing Dance Posse, Tap TRIBE and collaborator with the legend Chester Whitmore. Other credits include choreographing for the original musical Letting Go, ThunderCats Live, Dancing with Gregory Hines, Arthur Duncan and Norma Miller. Sharon danced for numerous dance companies including Pacific Ballet Theater with artistic director Rosemary Molak McCarter. Sharon built a reputation in Orange County, CA as one of the most beloved, well-known dance instructors and choreographers in the dance industry for the last 40 years. She has taught for private studios, public and private schools, workshops and other events. Sharon is excited to share her knowledge, professionalism and passion for dance with Contra Costa County.
